What should a family agree before committing to study abroad?
Agree the purpose of the move, the maximum commitment, who funds each stage and what happens if employment is delayed or the applicant returns. Record which decisions need another discussion. These agreements help prevent different expectations emerging after money is committed. The applicant’s goals and the household’s capacity both deserve a clear place in the plan.
